Drawn to them by their majesty, grace, and strength, Utah artist Joe Venus was challenged to capture the grandeur of the ever awesome Golden Eagle. The creation of this work required hours of research. Venus used a resident eagle of Tracy Aviary, a sanctuary for birds, as a life study and model for the painting. He cast the stately, snow-capped Wasatch Mountains, as he saw them from his back porch, as a worthy background for the magnificent bird. |
